    In der heutigen Zeit haben digitale internetbasierte Kommunikationskanäle den Zugang zu Informationen und Fachinhalten stark vereinfacht. Das Fachwissen wird größtenteils demokratisch durch neue Technologien erreichbar. Diese Veränderung steht im Zentrum der sprachwissenschaftlichen Untersuchung. Mit diesem Zustand eröffnen sich neue Möglichkeiten für die gegenseitige Kommunikation zwischen Experten und Laien in unterschiedlichsten Fachbereichen. Im Rahmen dieses Artikels wird ein fachorientiertes Internetforum untersucht, das zu einer etablierten Kommunikationsplattform wurde. Es stellt einen neuen Kanal für die Vermittlung von Fachwissen bzw. für professionelle Beratung mit einer Reihe von unterschiedlichen Optionen dar. Die Merkmale der Experten-Laien-Kommunikation werden am Beispiel des Internetforums des Computer- und Elektrohändlers Conrad erläutert. This article deals with new platforms of communication between professionals and laymen - with internet forums. The analyzed internet forum is provided by the German computer and electronics company Conrad. The aim was to show, how the communication between professionals and laymen was changed in that case, it was relocated to an interactive digital setting. After a necessarily theoretical basis follows an analysis of chosen communication situations and as well a presentation of achieved conclusions.

    The article deals with the analysis of linguistic structures which are used in the language of contemporary drama to intensify the expression of emotion. A corpus of four postmodern dramas was compiled for this purpose: 'Tätowierung' by Dea Loher (1992), 'Herr Kolpert' by David Gieselmann (2000), 'Schwimmen wie Hunde' by Reto Finger (2004), and 'Ein Teil der Gans' by Martin Heckmanns (2007). The article is based on the hypothesis that the emotional level of a text can be expressed via linguistic means displaying strong intensity. A theoretical justification of this hypothesis is followed by the analysis of the corpus texts.

    This article is based on the observation that the linguistic expression of emotions has three basic categories: intensity, quality, and the temporal dimension. The latter category has not yet received sufficient attention from linguistic research. The article takes the example of contemporary theatrical texts to demonstrate the close correlation between the linguistic means used to express emotion and their temporal dimension. The analysis of the use of these means and their meaning in the given dramatic situation shows that temporality is a linguistic phenomenon which plays a key role in the linguistic expression of emotions in this type of text. It was also shown that the organization of a dramatic text – including an exposition phase or authorial notes – provides a suitable tool for the mediation of various temporal levels, the understanding of which plays an irreplaceable role in the total emotional potential of the text.

    This study addresses new trends in translation studies and translation teaching, focusing on the possible use of database applications by translators. The article responds to the increasing market penetration of translation software designed to make the translation process – especially in professional and technical texts – more effective and efficient. The process includes the use of existing translations as a basis for new translations, consistent handling of terminology, simplification of the writing process, and the use of dictionary-type databases. After offering a basic theoretical discussion of CAT tools, the article focuses on their use by translators, especially in terms of how to teach user skills to translation students. The author draws on his experience of teaching the use of CAT tools (the application TRANSITNXT®) at the Department of German Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Ostrava.

    Der vorliegende Sammelband ist wichtigen Aspekten der sprachwissenschaftlichen Phraseologieforschung gewidmet; er enthält sowohl theoretische Ausführungen zu Struktur, Definition, Semantik, Pragmatik oder syntaktischer Verwendung von phraseologischen Strukturen als auch Beobachtungen zum alltäglichen Sprachgebrauch in konkreten Kommunikationssituationen. Der Band basiert auf der Tagung zum Thema 'Phrasenstrukturen und -interpretationen im Gebrauch', die vom 25. bis 27. September 2014 stattfand und die Tradition von germanistischen Konferenzen am Institut für Germanische Philologie der Universität Wrocław fortsetzte.
