Großbritannien/Irland: Conference of University Teachers of German in Great Britain and Ireland (CUTG)

The AGS was founded as the Conference of University Teachers of German in Great Britain and Ireland (CUTG) in 1932. In 2009 it became the Association for German Studies in Great Britain and Ireland.

An annual conference focuses on cutting-edge research in German Studies. The AGS supports postgraduate scholars with its postgraduate travel scholarships, and offers publication subsidies for early career researchers without institutional support.
