    V lingvistickém výzkumu byla malá pozornost věnována onomatopoickým výrazŧm ĉasto uţívaným zvláště v komiksech a v dětské literatuře jako nástroj k vyjádření emocí. Ĉlánek, jehoţ cílem je vyplnit mezeru ve výzkumu, nejprve podává přehled o vztazích mezi onomatopoi a emocemi. Autor zdŧrazňuje, ţe konkrétní realizace onomatopoických slov je v kaţdém jazyce jiná a závisí na jazykových konvencích. Následně jsou srovnána německá a ĉeská onomatopoická slovesa s emoĉními konotacemi. Srovnání ukazuje širokou škálu rozdílŧ, které se týkají nejen formálních aspektŧ, ale také významu těchto sloves. Závěrem vyplývá, ţe emoce jsou vázány na jazykový kontext, a proto nemohou být přesně přeloţeny. Very few linguistic investigations have focused on onomatopoetics and their emotional function. However, onomatopoeia is used frequently in comics and children's books as an instrument to express emotions. The article aims to fill this research gap. Firstly it presents an overview of the relations between onomatopoetics and emotions. The author emphasizes that the concrete realization of onomatopoetical words varies in each language. It therefore seems to be clear that the realizations depend on linguistic conventions. The paper then compares onomatopoetic verbs in German and Czech with their emotional connotation. The comparison shows a wide scale of differences not only regarding formal aspects, but also concerning the meanings of the verbs. As a result it can be concluded that emotions are bound to linguistic contexts and cannot normally be translated exactly.

    The article is based on an empirical study on the development of textual competence of Bulgarian pupils. It is focussed on stories, written by pupils aged 14 to 17 years with different competence and knowledge in German as a foreign language. The authors can show that the length of the sentences rises by the age of the pupils. The complexity of the sentences grows with the increasing level of linguistic security. Further, it is probable that the text size depends on age and sex. The results also reveal the low efficiency of teaching German at primary school. Finally, it can be concluded that creative writing represents a useful method for testing textual competence in foreign language teaching.

    Mysticism means the verbalization of mystic experiences, or more precisely the verbalization of "unio mystica – the unification of the religious "I" with the absolute, and, in Christianity, with God. An interesting body of German mystic literature has survived from the medieval period, beginning with the "St. Trudperter Hohenlied" (around 1160). In "conjugal mysticism", the "unio" is viewed and verbalized as an experience of love, while speculative mysticism (especially as represented by the Dominicans) formulates a "different" theology, written primarily in German. These new mystical experiences require a new approach to language, i.e. methods of nomination which recall the principles of naming based on the use of metaphor and word-formation in professional language.
