Peter Stamms visuelles Schreiben1 ; This article deals with visualization as one of the constructive elements of literary works by the contemporary Swiss-German author Peter Stamm (born 1963). The introduction deals in a critical way with an older typology of the author by Viktor Kochol which forms the base for signifying Stamm as a visual type of the author with affinity to visual arts. The following part presents various representations in this affinity and visualization in Stamm's pieces of work. Taking into consideration Stamm's interviews and essays, the final part analyses the role of the visual principle in all stages of the author's writing process, which can be also perceived as narration by means of images
