    Gli effetti P-Δ possono influenzare in modo significativo la richiesta sismica degli edifici prefabbricati monopiano. Sia la normativa europea che quella italiana prevedono alcune prescrizioni al fine di considerare tale fenomeno, quali la riprogettazione della struttura e l’amplificazione della richiesta sismica. In questo lavoro si descrive uno studio parametrico eseguito al fine di: (a) valutare l'influenza degli effetti P-Δ sulla risposta sismica diedifici prefabbricati e (b) valutare l'efficacia delle prescrizioni normative. In particolare, lo studio prevede l’analisi di numerose strutture, utilizzando diversi approcci progettuali e diverse ipotesi di modellazione. Le analisi dinamiche dimostrano che gli effetti P-Δ possono fortemente influenzare la domanda sismica delle strutture prefabbricate in termini di duttilità in spostamento. Tuttavia, si dimostra che tale influenza può essere compensata dalla sovraresistenza strutturale. Nella parte finale di questo lavoro, si propone, quindi, una modifica alle prescrizioni normative al fine di giungere ad una progettazione sicura e più economica.

    This paper investigates the mechanical properties in term of compression, tensile, flexural and shear strength of a new hemp core based on woven fabric. The hemp core is manufactured by means an innovative vacuum infusion process in which the input both of epoxy resin and of air was allowed. In addition, a comparison among this and others more known materials used as core in sandwich structures was carried out. The results showed that the core under investigation has higher mechanical properties, without shear and indentation failure during the tests on the respective sandwich structures.

    The development of high performance materials based on epoxy resin finds a growing number of applications in which high wear resistance is required. One major drawback in many of these applications is the relatively poor wear resistance of the epoxy resin. Therefore, in order to investigate on the possibility of increasing wear resistance of thermoset polymers filled with hard powders, sliding tests are carried out by means of a pin on disc apparatus. In particular, composite resins, constituted by an epoxy resin filled with different contents and sizes of Silicon Carbide powder, are analyzed; the wear resistance, in terms of volume loss, is measured for different abrasive counterfaces and loads.

    The incremental forming of titanium alloy sheets combines the advantages of this advanced flexible manufacturing process, that allows to produce complex components without using dedicated tools, with the interesting properties of the material under consideration. In this study, thin sheets of grade 1 titanium were incrementally formed to evaluate their formability and surface quality by varying the tool-sheet contact conditions. Experimental tests and surface analyses highlight dependence on the contact conditions of the surface quality rather than of the formability. Moreover, they emphasize that the tool-sheet contact conditions mainly affect the repeatability of the process due to the occurrence of galling.

    KorAP is a corpus search and analysis platform, developed at the Institute for the German Language (IDS). It supports very large corpora with multiple annotation layers, multiple query languages, and complex licensing scenarios. KorAP’s design aims to be scalable, flexible, and sustainable to serve the German Reference Corpus DEREKO for at least the next decade. To meet these requirements, we have adopted a highly modular microservice-based architecture. This paper outlines our approach: An architecture consisting of small components that are easy to extend, replace, and maintain. The components include a search backend, a user and corpus license management system, and a web-based user frontend. We also describe a general corpus query protocol used by all microservices for internal communications. KorAP is open source, licensed under BSD-2, and available on GitHub.

    In this paper, we present a GOLD standard of part-of-speech tagged transcripts of spoken German. The GOLD standard data consists of four annotation layers – transcription (modified orthography), normalization (standard orthography), lemmatization and POS tags – all of which have undergone careful manual quality control. It comes with guidelines for the manual POS annotation of transcripts of German spoken data and an extended version of the STTS (Stuttgart Tübingen Tagset) which accounts for phenomena typically found in spontaneous spoken German. The GOLD standard was developed on the basis of the Research and Teaching Corpus of Spoken German, FOLK, and is, to our knowledge, the first such dataset based on a wide variety of spontaneous and authentic interaction types. It can be used as a basis for further development of language technology and corpus linguistic applications for German spoken language.
